What is a Physiotherapist?

A Physiotherapist (PT) is a university educated, primary access health care professional with extensive knowledge of human movement and how it is affected by injury, disease or disuse. Physiotherapists have the hands-on clinical skills needed to assess and treat symptoms associated with pain and movement dysfunction. A Physiotherapist can provide personalized hands-on treatment, exercise and education designed to assist you in restoring, maintaining or maximizing your functional movement potential and overall sense of well-being. Physiotherapists in Ontario are registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO). Only those who are registered can use the professional designation PT.

All of our Physiotherapists at Motion Plus Physiotherapy are registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
